Graphic design for apparel, built for the range

Apparel graphics are the identity that makes products yours: the badge, the logo treatment, the artwork that makes a t-shirt worth twice a plain one. Artifax develops them on a canvas built for fashion, so a graphic is designed against the garment it will sit on.

A graphic is not a picture

An apparel graphic has to survive being printed, embroidered or appliqued at a specific size on a specific pattern piece, in every size of the run. A design that works on screen can fail on a size XS front panel and nobody notices until the strike-off.

Designing against the garment rather than against a blank canvas is what removes that class of late failure.

Families, not one-offs

Most graphics work is a family: the same mark at several scales, in several colourways, across several categories. Generating those variants from one editable source keeps the family visibly related and stops each garment drifting into its own interpretation.

Because the artwork stays editable, a graphic can be recoloured or rescaled next season instead of recreated.

Into the tech pack

Placement, scale, colour separations and application method are specifications, not notes. Artifax carries them into the tech pack automatically, in the format vendors already use.
