Recolour artwork and products without redrawing

Recolouring is the cheapest way to extend a range and the easiest thing to get wrong. Artifax recolours existing artwork and product assets to a new palette, keeping the artwork editable so the change is a decision rather than a redraw.

Recolouring is not colour replacement

Swapping a hex value is straightforward. Recolouring a print so the new palette holds the same contrast, keeps the motif legible and still reads as the same design is not — it is a judgement about relationships between colours, not about individual ones.

Working from editable artwork rather than a flat export is what makes that judgement reversible.

Judge it on the product

A palette that works on a swatch can fail on a garment, where scale, drape and fabric all change how colour reads. Seeing the recoloured version on the finished shape — as a ghost, a flatlay or on a model — is what makes an approval mean something.

Carried through

An approved recolour becomes a colorway with its own instructions in the tech pack, so the factory receives the palette that was signed off.
